CPI(M) common secretary Sitaram Yechury has termed the federal government’s plans to proceed with the Central Vista venture regardless of the continued coronavirus pandemic as “grotesque. Quoting studies that the Centre has granted the required setting clearances for the remaining buildings of the venture, Yechury questioned its timing. “That is grotesque. No cash for Oxygen and Vaccines as our brothers and sisters die ready for a hospital mattress to be cremated in parking heaps BUT Modi will squander public cash to feed his megalomaniac vainness. Cease this Crime,” he mentioned in a tweet.
