A BJP MLA on Wednesday lay down in protest on the bottom outdoors the Pratapgarh district Justice of the Peace’s residence right here, accusing the superintendent of police of beating him up and tearing his garments. Pratpagarh SP, nonetheless, denied the MLA’s allegations, terming them as baseless.
The BJP MLA from Raniganj meeting constituency, Dheeraj Ojha, alleged that he was overwhelmed by the SP when he went to satisfy the DM to complain towards the alleged removing of his supporters’ names from the voters’ listing forward of the panchayat polls. Based on eyewitnesses, BJP MLA from Ojha saved mendacity on the bottom for practically two hours. In a video, that went viral on social media, JP MLA Ojha might be seen popping out of the residence of the district Justice of the Peace, shouting and flashing his torn kurta, after which he lay on the bottom.
As he alleged that the police superintendent beat him up inside, his supporters started elevating slogans towards the 2 officers. Ojha informed reporters that he had gone to the DM’s residence to complain concerning the irregularities within the voters’ listing for the panchayat elections.
He claimed some influential folks of the Shivgarh block of the district had eliminated the names of his supporters from the voters’ listing in collusion with the district administration. Pratapgarh SP Akash Tomar termed the allegations levelled towards him by the MLA as baseless.
Tomar stated Ojha was staging a protest towards the DM alleging irregularities within the voters’ listing and when he indulged in misbehaviour, he was stopped. So, he’s levelling false allegations that he was overwhelmed up by me, the SP stated.
