US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday mentioned that arms gross sales to Iran would breach UN resolutions and lead to sanctions, after Tehran mentioned the longstanding UN embargo on arms commerce with the Islamic republic had expired.

“The US is ready to make use of its home authorities to sanction any particular person or entity that materially contributes to the availability, sale, or switch of typical arms to or from Iran,” Pompeo mentioned in a press release.
